Rare and Unusual 18K Gold Standard American Watch, Private Label for Jas. H. Hoes, Milwaukee, Hunter Case Pocket Watch. Case is stamped "18K" and numbered matching movement with raised conjoined "T" and "Co." inside oval mark. This mark also appears stamped in center of movement. Movement is marked "Jas. H. Hoes, Milwaukee, Mich.". Very little is known about these maker's marks, but the watch is extremely well-made, very fine and of high quality. Case has moderate, even wear to engine turning on covers, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
