18K Gold Early French Quarter-Hour Repeating Open Face Pocket Watch with key. Case numbered and hallmarked with beautifully engraved and inlaid floral motif on cuvette, marked "Echappement a cilindre, Garni en Pierre, Huit Trous en Rubis, Parachute & Compensateur". It has blue, green and white enamel. In order to activate the repeater, you must first lift the oval "crown" button into its fully raised position, secondly, it must be turned clockwise by 90 degrees and finally, push button back down to lowered position. The repeater function can then be locked out by turning the button counter-clockwise back to its original position. Includes replacement #7 key. There are a few small scratches on the silver dial, minimal enamel losses to floral motif on cuvette with very light even wear to engine turning on edge of back cover and a scratch in the center of the crystal, otherwise excellent condition.
