Rare & Important 18K Pink Gold Bailey Banks & Biddle, Attributed to Patek Philippe, Open Face Pocket Watch with Mayoral Presentation, Dated 1893. Cuvette inscribed "Presented to His Honor, Mayor Wm. F. Shanaman by the police department of the City of Reading, June 10th, 1893". Dial is solid 18K gold, speckled, with elegant scrolling royal blue Arabic numeral hour markers. Case is signed, numbered and marked "18K". Movement is also signed and numbered matching the case, and marked "Special, No. 61579, Bailey Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia". William F. Shanaman won Mayoralty of Reading, Pa., in 1893 when he was only 31 years old. This watch is in incredible condition with almost no signs of use.
