Massive Sterling Silver Peter Debaufre, London, England, Double Pair-Case Verge Fusee Open Face Center Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch with Key. Cases both hallmarked with London city mark, Sterling standard mark and 1781 date letter. Inner case retains strong gold gilt finish. Outer case beautifully hand engraved with soft light wear and faint traces of gold gilt finish. Movement and removable locking dust cover are both signed and numbered, "Peter Debaufre, London" & "672". Chronograph stop lever located under beveled domed crystal bezel, at 9 o'clock position. Swing-out verge fusee movement with "Debaufre" escapement. Includes swivel-key, stamped "1", on silver-tone curb link pendant chain. Wonderful rare example in very good working order.
