14K Gold Private Label American Waltham, Model 1857, for Jeweler A. Andrews of The Diamond Palace, San Francisco, Calif., Size 18 Hunter Case Pocket Watch, Circa 1877. Beautiful engine-turned case with nesting bird with eggs opposite shield on front cover. Case is marked with raised "A W CO" (Eagle) and numbered. Movement marked "The Diamond Palace, 933123, Fogg's Patent". Cuvette with elongated hand engraved scrolling design, possibly covering earlier presentation. Shield on front cover polished, with evidence of removed monogram. Small ding to edge of front cover near the 7 o'clock position, otherwise in excellent physical condition. Watch is running, but stops at certain angle, and will need servicing.
