A) French Short Sword with brass basket guard displaying a hunting horn and liberty cap motif, leather grip with flat copper and twisted wire wrap. Wide blade with fuller running most of its length. CONDITION: Blade is grey with areas of dark staining and pitting, guard broken in two places where the basket meets the crossguard, grip showing worm holes. B) French Model 1854 Navy Officers Sword, plain blade with fuller extending to within one inch from the tip, Klingenthal arsenal marking on the spine. Gilt brass guard with anchor and vine motif, carved horn grip, back strap and pommel cast with heavy rococo designs. CONDITION: Blade mostly smooth and grey with areas of dark staining, fittings retaining much of its original gilt, grip excellent. C) French Restoration Period Officer's Sword. Gilded brass hilt with D-guard, clam shell guard bearing crowned Coat of Arms with flags, folding reverse clam shell, straight diamond-shaped blade, horn handle, metal scabbard with suspension ring. CONDITION: Blade is mostly grey with areas of dark staining, guard is loose, scabbard bright / grey with dark staining. DG
