Lot consists of (A) Winchester Model 1885 high wall musket. Made in 1918, serial number 105751. Plain straight grain walnut stock with musket style forearm. Two barrel bands with steel forearm cap. Steel carbine style buttplate. Sling provisions mounted to buttstock and middle barrel band. 28" round barrel chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Military style fold down ladder rear barrel sight. Cleaning rod mounted in forearm channel. CONDITION: Excellent overall with approximately 95% thinning original blue on barrel. Frame retains 80-85% thinning original blue. Traces of original case colors on lever and hammer. Bore is excellent with minor abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Wood is excellent showing scattered moderate size dents and scratches. (B) Winchester "Winder" musket. Built on Model 1885 Low wall action. 28" round barrel chambered in .22 Short. Lyman receiver sight. Single set trigger. Plain, straight grain walnut stock with musket style forearm and longitudinal finger groove. Single barrel band with steel forearm tip. Carbine style steel buttplate. Sling provisions mounted to barrel band and buttstock. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 85-90% original blue on barrel turning brown. Frame is mostly grey patina. Excellent bore. Wood is excellent showing modest wear. Interesting to note, upon disassembly, no serial number can be found. -MKS-
