Watercolor on paper, circa 1970. Peter Sculthorpe was born in Ontario, Canada, in 1948. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Hussian School of Fine Art under William Palmer Lear. He is a recipient of the Daisy Jamison Art Scholarship. He established a studio in Chester County, PA, and painted in the surrounding region. Later, his subject matter expanded to include Maine and the Maritimes of Canada.
