Remington Rolling Block saddle ring carbine. Round steel barrel with a pinched blade front sight. "FP" stamped on top of the barrel. Missing the rear sight. Original blued finish has worn to a patina in most areas. Saddle ring and bar attached to the left side of the receiver. Typical Remington patent markings on the tang. Straight grip hardwood stock and forearm, with the original curved buttplate. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with patina and some minor pitting on the metal surfaces. Stock is fair with numerous dings, scratches and gouges. There is a large chunk missing form the left side of the hand guard, in front of the band. Bore is frosted with dull rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
