Produced in 1843 by R. Johnson of Middleton Ct. .54 caliber with 8 - 1/2" browned barrel with one piece walnut stock with iron mounts and furniture. Two strong US Military inspectors cartouches are very evident on left side of stock with barrel being inspected "JH" "P" . Stirrup retained rammer. One of the very last martial flintlock pistols produced for the United States Military. CONDITION: Very good as earlier refinished. The bore is fine and the lock operates properly. The stock is very good with no cracking or material losses. The stirrup rammer retainer is a contemporary replacement. Very attractive overall. TDW
