Merwin and Hulbert Company large frame double action revolver made by Hopkins and Allen circa 1885. Nickeled frame and ribbed barrel with blade front sight and folding case hardened hammer. Frame marked "Calibre Winchester 1873". Black checkered hard rubber grips with flat butt with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Gun has 80% remaining nickel finish with what look to be vise marks on barrel and frame in front of cylinder. Small nicks and dings and wear from holster. Good grips with small cracks on butt from lanyard ring. Good bore with good mechanics except very difficult to swing cylinder out with axle possibly bent gun locks up tight and functions perfectly otherwise. Rare gun. DLM
