Rare and desirable Walther commercial Eagle N proofed PPK pistol chambered for the .32 ACP/7.65 cartridge. Marked on the front grip strap "SA der NSDAP gruppe Hochland". Fitted with scarce early greyish WALTHER banner checkered plastic grips and matching alloy magazine base. Issue to the NSDAP, the early Nazi Storm Police groups. These uncommon pistols have a very low survival rate and are rarely encountered in the United States as most were destroyed or hidden from sight of Allied troops at the conclusion of World War II. Left side of slide is has traditional Walther Banner with two line address and caliber designation. Right side of slide is marked with serial number 47089K and has the Eagle N proof below ejection port. CONDITION: Good with over 90% blue finish remaining with slight area of pitting on right side of frame at serial number and thinning of finish at muzzle and edges. Bore is very fine, action operates properly. Grips are very slightly warped at top as is expected but are good and without distress. A very rare and desirable Third Reich Pistol. TDW
