Lot consists of: (A) Remington 1858 New Model Army. Fitted with standard 8" octagon barrel with blade front sight and V notch rear sight. Standard 3-line barrel address. Outfitted with walnut 2-piece grips. Blued single action percussion revolver with 6-shot cylinder. Case colored hammer and brass trigger guard. Retains military inspection marks on barrel, frame, trigger guard and base of grips but no cartouche is visible. CONDITION: Very good. Retains traces of original blued finish with substantial amounts retained on cylinder and trigger. Scattered handling marks. Grips in good condition with scattered nicks and one larger impression on the right panel; grips appear to have been sanded and are shy to grip straps. Numbers on frame and barrel match. Indexes properly. Bore very good with strong rifling and a few scattered pits. (B) Smith & Wesson Model No. 1 3rd Issue. Fitted with standard 3-3/16" round ribbed barrel with half moon front sight and 3-date barrel address. Outfitted with 2-piece bird's head rosewood grips. Nickel finish single action revolver with 7-shot fluted cylinder. Checkered spur trigger and hammer. Housed in older, possibly period leather flap holster named to "H. A. Wynn." CONDITION: Excellent. Retains nearly all factory nickel finish. Visible dragline. Abrasion to top of front sight with scattered handling marks. Indexes correctly. Bore excellent with strong rifling. Holster supple with some abrasions. Missing flap retainer. BAS
