Lebeau-Courally is known for making some of the finest guns ever to come out of Belgium. This particular gun made with lightly matted top rib with brass mid and front beads. Tops of barrels engraved "LEBEAU-COURALLY A LIEGE" on right tube. Chopper lump barrels with proof marks on flats. The replacement splinter forend is checkered in point pattern with lightly scroll engraved Anson type push button release. Forend iron is fully scroll and floral engraved. Sidelock action is full coverage engraved in minute scroll and floral pattern throughout. Fences are deeply cut with leaves and are beaded. Top lever, top tang are fully scroll engraved and top lever is engraved "AUG. LEBEAU FT. A LIEGE". Made with double triggers (front trigger articulated), auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. The replacement straight grip buttstock currently mounted on the gun is checkered in point pattern, is of high quality European walnut, and terminates with a thin black pad. Housed in a Nizzoli oak and brown leather case with makers label on top and maroon felt lined with snap caps, oil bottle. Accompanying the gun is the original stock and forend and the Lebeau-Courally book by Marco Nobili. CONDITION: Excellent as partially restored. Barrels retain nearly all of a restored blue, markings have softened. The action is fine with some minor darkening on top tang and trigger guard, engraving is crisp. Replacement stocks retain nearly all of their custom finish. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Case is excellent with only minor rubs. Original stock and forend are very good. JSL.
