Number two of a pair, this fine gun made with plain top rib that has white mid and front beads, markers name and address engraved along with a gold "2" and small wedge of scroll engraving at breech ends. Barrel flats with nitro proof marks. Splinter forend is checkered in point pattern with engraved iron and gold inlaid "2" towards Anson push button release. The full sidelock action is fully scroll engraved throughout with makers name in panel on sidelocks and bottom of action engraved "IMPERIAL EJECTOR". Top of action is fully scroll engraved and the world "SAFE" inlaid in gold on top tang in front of safety. Made with double triggers (front trigger articulated), auto ejectors, and auto safety. The fine European walnut straight grip buttstock with tear drop behind locks is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist, has silver oval near the toe, and terminates with a nicely checkered butt. Housed in a modern oak and brown leather case with accessories and makers label on top of lid. CONDITION: Extremely fine as restored. Retains virtually all restored finish to metal surfaces. Superb replacement stocks retain virtually all of their custom finishes. The fit and finish of the restock is superb. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. Case is excellent with only minor rubs. JSL
