Slide on hood covering a bead front sight. Front sight assembly on slide on soldered base with machine batted rib. Sling swivel on barrel on soldered on island. Lyman Alaskan fixed power scope on Griffin and Howe QD mount. Drilled and tapped for Lyman receiver sight, currently filled by a rare Lyman blank. Stock checkered in point pattern at forearm with horn forend tip. Baseplate and trigger guard engraved with scroll, baseplate has a turning bear, trigger guard with moose facing away. Ball bolt with two panels of checkering. Wrist checkered through in point pattern, steel grip cap engraved with florals. Shadowline cheekpiece. Stock terminates in black line spacer and red rubber Old English pad. Boyt sling. CONDITION: Fine, retaining virtually all of the bluing applied at the time of soldering apparatus to barrel, with a few areas of inactive oxidation. Stocks are very good, retaining virtually all of their finish, with some evidence of field use including minor nicks, scratches, and pressure marks, but no discernible cracks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with sharp lands and grooves and some minor even oxidation, mostly towards muzzle. A wonderful customized 1903 ready for deer season! CORRECTION: The floor plate and trigger guard are engraved in the style of Kornbrath, and have worn to a silver finish, with traces of remaining blue in protected areas.
