A handsome left handed Belgian .416 Rigby with a 24" barrel. Banded, stepped and stippled hooded front moon sight, mid-barrel band with stud for sling, stippled spearpoint rear sight with one standing sight at 100 yards and two folding sights at 150 and 200 yards. The folding sights are engraved and also have centered gold lines. The barrel reads "Henri Dumoulin & Fils Herstal Belgium" "Caliber .416 Rigby Only" in gold. The outer receiver wall reads "Imperial Magnum Souvereign" in gold. The bolt handle has eight panels that are checkered and contain a bit of gold inlay circling its base. The jeweled action and bolt slide are also nicely engraved with gold inlay of Lion and Leopard heads with supporting floral scroll. Floor plate is handsomely engraved with a Cape Buffalo head in gold with supporting floral scroll, gold inlay and reads "Cal 416 Rigby" just beneath the cape buffalo head. The double square bridge action Mauser is fitted with a three position flag safe and adorned with gold inlay on its bridges. The reddish brown strong straight grained stock has a shadow line cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, pistol grip, engraved blacked pistol grip cap with trap door/gold inlay, sling stud and a black rubber butt pad. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain 95% black with some minor wear. Rifling is also very good. Action and trigger are both smooth. Stock and forend are good to very good with some slight usage and handling marks. CP
