1879 vintage Second Model 1873 rifle, serial number 30545. 30" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Blue with case hardened hammer and lever. Set trigger. "Thumbprint" dust cover. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. Standard barrel sights. Chambered in .44-40 caliber. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 50-60% original blue mixed with patina. Traces of case color on lever and hammer. Set trigger functions correctly. Wood is excellent showing modest wear. Bore has moderate abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
