1882 vintage Model 1866 rifle, serial number 158676. 24" octagon barrel with full length magazine. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Late model with steel rifle style buttplate and forearm cap. Brass frame, with casehardened lever and hammer. Chambered in .44 caliber rimfire. CONDITION: Excellent overall with a beautiful unpolished patina on the frame that is a very pleasing dark mustard color. Barrel and magazine tube have traces of original blue, mostly brown patina overall. Lever, hammer, buttplate, and forearm cap are mostly brown patina. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with scattered dents and dings. Slivers of wood missing around upper and lower tangs leaving space between the stock and frame. Bore is dark.
