Custom ordered by our consignor in 1971 while he was in Belgium on business, this beautiful little gun made with low profile ventilated matted rib that has small brass front bead. Sides of barrels marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL-BELGIQUE" on top left side and "MADE IN BELGIUM" on left. The round nosed forearm is checkered in point pattern with lightly engraved Deeley release. The coin finished action is engraved in typical C2 Grade fashion with large grouse on left in game scene, three quail on bottom, three pheasants on right all surrounded by well executed light scroll engraving. Our consignor special ordered this gun with a long tang round knob pistol grip and with his initials "JS" in gold inlaid script on the trigger guard. The buttstock is checkered in a two point pattern through the wrist with fine European walnut and terminates with a "FN" brand composition buttplate. Housed in an Airways case. CONDITION: Excellent as lightly field used. Barrels retain about 97% original blue. Forearm is sound with original finish. Action retains most of its gray finish with only very minor staining noted. The buttstock is sound and retains nearly all of its original finish with minor handling marks. Case is very good with minor staining in the cloth and rub marks and minor losses on the outside. A very beautiful gun that is as fresh as a spring daisy having never been offered for sale before. JSL
