Full length Damascus top rib marked “Parker Bros. Makers, Meriden, Conn. Damascus Steel, Made For E. F. Bassett”. Double triggers, extractor, no safety. Buttstock with round knob pistol grip checkered in three point pattern with nickel shield on top and 14 - 7/16" LOP over engraved full steel buttplate. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip checkered in standard grade 1 pattern. Receiver is lightly scroll engraved and marked “Parker Bros.” on both sides. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Barrels retain approximately 60% visible Damascus pattern. Receiver is superb and retains well over 80% original lightly toned Parker case color. Buttstock and forearm have been properly restored and retain most of their restored finish with minor handling marks and a couple of minor shakes in butt. Buttstock in need of minor repair at wrist with grain separation emanating from trigger guard tang on both sides; this should remedy very easily and in no way an expensive fix to make this disappear. Steel buttplate is excellent retaining about half of its original blue. Bores are very good with areas of minor roughness. Mechanics are fine. Inscription should be further researched and this is a rare gun as Parker Bros. inscribed very few arms. JSL
