Fine early C Grade gun with 28" Damascus barrels that have matted concave top rib with small mid and large white front bead. Splinter forend is checkered in point pattern with carved dogs head escutcheon and engraved steel tip. The case hardened action is engraved with setters in right, pointers on left in game scene surrounded by nice scroll and border work. Fences are clover leaf sculpted. In frame ejectors. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors and auto safety. Custom capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist with flowing panel behind grip, has nickel oval near toe and terminates with a thin red Olde English pad. CONDITION: Extremely fine as restored. Both sets of barrels retain about all of their restored pattern. Original splinter forend is excellent with only minor handling marks. Action retains virtually all of its restored color. Replacement buttstock is excellent and retains virtually all of its custom finish with only minor handling marks. A scarce graded Lefever and an relatively early gun with in-frame ejectors. JSL
