Made in 1884 with 32" Damascus barrels that have 6 lbs 15 oz unstruck barrel weight and that have plain concave rib with small steel front bead and maker's name and address towards breech end. Splinter forend is checkered in standard D Grade pattern with lightly engraved Deeley release and steel tip. The case hardened sidelock action is engraved in standard D Grade pattern with scroll and dogs on locks, game scene in circle on bottom with light scroll, and light floral scroll on trigger guard bow. Made on a #4 frame with double triggers, extractors. Straight top lever. The capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist with tear drop behind locks and terminates with a lightly engraved steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Barrels retain most of a professionally restored finish. Frame has toned to a pleasing grey, engraving beginning to thin on bottom of frame, fine elsehwere. Stocks are sound and retain most of an older restored finish with some subsequent impressions and handling marks. Checkering on forend has thinned a bit but is all still fully visible. Bores are good with some pits as expected on a big fowling gun of this vintage. Mechanics are fine. JSL
