Made with flat matted rib that has steel front bead and marked on tops of barrels "LEFEVER ARMS CO" on right and "FINE DAMASCUS" on left. Splinter forend is checkered in point pattern, has engraved push button release and steel tip. The case hardened action, with sculpted fences, engraved with game scenes on locks and light scroll with geometric border pattern. Bottom of action with burst of scroll and geometric border patterns on frame butterflies. Made with gold plated double triggers, extractor, and auto safety. Fine capped pistol grip replacement buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist, has tear drop behind the action, small nickel oval near toe and terminates with a Lefever Arms Co. monogrammed buttplate. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Barrels retain 90% plus Damascus pattern which has been renewed. Forend with restored finish and checkering lightly thinned. Action has toned to mostly gray with hints of original case color, engraving is still crisp. Replacement buttstock is excellent and retains most of its custom finish. Triggers have been replated. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. These graded Lefevers are some of the most beautiful guns ever produced in America. JSL.
