These highly collectible 10 bore Ithacas don't come along every day. This gun was made before the 500,000 serial number range guns made with fluid steel barrels that have matted concave rib with small brass front bead. There is a small ring of engraving at breech ends. Splinter forend with blued and engraved Deeley release is checkered and has triangular ebony tip. The case hardened action is engraved in standard Grade III pattern with woodcock on left, goose on bottom, quail on right, and has light floral scroll engraving. Blued trigger guard with light scroll on bow, serial number on tang. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. Cocking indicators on top of frame. The capped pistol grip buttstock is of nicely figured American walnut and is checkered in point and wave pattern through the wrist and terminates with an Ithaca Sun burst pad. CONDITION: Excellent as partially restored. Barrels retain about 95% of what appears to be their original blue. The action retains about 40%+ original case color. Stocks are sound and retain most of a professionally restored finish with checkering slightly thinned. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. JSL
