Ithaca made "4E" grade side by side double barrel shotgun made in 1922. Blued steel barrels with matted rib and brass bead. Flues Model case hardened frame with typical "4E" engraving. Walnut figured pistol grip stock with fleur de lis checkering and Ithaca hard rubber buttplate. Checkered splinter forearm with matching number of gun stamped inside, ebony inlay, and highly engraved push button release. Gun has ejectors, automatic safety and gold plated double triggers. Stock has gold stock shield with "R.W. Malone" engraved on it. CONDITION: Barrels have several dings with some visible waves inside. Chokes are marked "4" and "4", which translate to Full and Full, but they have been opened to a light Modified and Improved Cylinder. Barrels have not been cut but end has been dressed up. Barrels retain 50% original blue with some spotting near the bores. Action retains 10% original case. Wood has 10% original finish with checkering worn flat and some handling marks and dings. Good mechanics except safety does not quite return to safe. DLM
