Made in 1925 and obviously set up for a Trap shooter, this fun gun features 32" barrels with low profile ventilated matted top rib that have small white front bead and are marked "L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE" on right tube and "HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. MFR'S. FULTON, NY. U.S.A" on left tube. Beavertail forend with banjo shaped roll type release and checkered in point pattern with wide Schnabel tip. The case hardened action is engraved in standard Specialty grade pattern with quail on left, duck on right, surrounded by open shaded scroll and marked "L.C. Smith" on lock plates. Made with Hunter One single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. The straight grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern, has thick top comb and terminates with a thin back recoil pad. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain about 95% of an older restored finish. The forearm retains most of an older restored finish with a grain separation on left side at breech end and a beginning grain separation at breech end of banjo. Action retains about 40% light case color with some beginning toning on bottom. Trigger guard retains most of a restored blue finish. Buttstock with repair behind left lock and grain separation behind right, retains most of an older restored finish. Bores are very good. Mechanics are fine. This Trap configured Smith is a rare gun and the 32" barrels make it desirable to today's shooters. JSL
