Proofed in 2006, this gun was made with matted concave rib with small brass front bead. The top of the left barrel marked "F.lli BERTUZZI ITALY". Made with demi-beavertail forend which is checkered in point pattern and has floral engraved iron and Anson type pushbutton release. Made with single non-selective trigger, auto ejectors, and auto safety. The small sidelock action is coin finished and superbly engraved by Dassa. Left lock plate with flying grouse in well detailed woods scene, bottom of action with large flying woodcock in portrait panel scene and right lockplate with beautiful Woodcock flight scene with detailed woods in background. All of these scenes are surrounded by well executed shaded floral scroll engraving. Top tang, top lever, and trigger guard all engraved with fully detailed shaded floral pattern. Rolled edge trigger guard and serial number in gold at long tang. The beautiful Circasian Walnut buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist, has a tear drop behind locks, and terminates with two small fully engraved heel and toe plates with checkered center of butt. CONDITION: Extremely fine and near mint. Retains nearly all original finish to both wood and metal. Appears test fired only with only minor handling marks. Truly a work of art! JSL
