Produced in Belgium in the 1860's. This impressive and large 9mm pinfire pepperbox with six shot barrel cluster and folding trigger is fitted with finely checkered walnut grips. Engraved on the frame in a floral and vine motif with geometric designs on back strap and forward panels of frame. The barrel cluster is engraved to match with wide flowing vines and blank flutes. Frame is a coin finish while the hammer and trigger mechanism are finished in a straw coloring. The barrel cluster is deeply blued with bright muzzle. Double action operation with loading gate on right rear of recoil shield. A liege proof is found on rear of cylinder. CONDITION. Extremely fine with little indication of use in its 150 year existence. The coin finished frame has a very limited amount of tarnish on butt and forward of trigger. The barrel cluster is near perfect with virtually all of the finish remaining. The action operates properly and smoothly. TDW
