Twist off rifled Damascus barrels marked with "R" near breeches. Patent breeches with Belgian proofs and scalloped breeches near nipples, serial numbers on bottom. No front sights, rear sights integral with frames. Frames engraved with scroll, folding triggers. Ebony stocks with florals at actions, fluted. Buttcaps engraved. Cased in a dark wood box with brass plaque on lid with "C D". Red felt lining with "Fd Claudin a Paris" in lid. Accessories comprise bullet mold with integral sprue cutter and nipple wrench, loading tool, and lid for a not present wooden jar. Two compartments with lead balls, one pull broken. CONDITION: Very good with some marks from handling and operation. Some minor age related spotting across both guns. Both guns have been cleaned, leaving numbers on bottom of breeches somewhat faded. Actions work appropriately when operated by hand, bores are good, with even oxidation and strong rifling. Case is very good, with some rubbing to lining. Accessories fine, bullet mold with some old oxidation and age related spotting. A nice cased set. EW
