Produced in the 1850-1860 period. Extremely ornate and elaborate 8mm pinfire folding trigger pepperbox. Mounted with ivory stocks and profusely engraved in a floral motif with a frosted background and silver washed. Double action operation with a six shot barrel cluster and folding trigger. Housed in a leather form fitted pipe pattern case with satin lining. Liege proofed on rear of cylinder and marked "L Eprez" on lower right side of frame. A small concealed removable cartridge ejector is screwed into the butt of the grip. CONDITION: Extremely fine with most all of the silver wash finish remaining. The ivory grips are wonderfully toned and are without distress. The action operates smoothly and properly. The leather clamshell case is very fine with no distress on exterior and the interior lining is slightly faded with age. TDW
