Very fine Stevens Model 45 Ideal rifle chambered for the Winchester .32-40 cartridge. Serial number 1828 is found on bottom of barrel as well as lower tang. Barrel is 28", 1/3 octagon with Stevens address on top, and "32-40" on left barrel flat. Case color and blue finishes with smooth varnished highly figured American walnut pistol grip stops with semi-Swiss buttplate and schnable forend. CONDITION: Good with excellent bore and mechanics. The barrel retains over 80% original finish with balance turning plum The barrel has been drilled for scope bases at rear and mid-point. The stocks are fine with most all varnish remaining and a small repaired chip is at the front left of the forearm. TDW
