Standard Model 70 rifle. Serial number 278149, made in 1953. 1 piece, straight grain walnut stock and forearm, checkered with pistol grip. Checkered steel buttplate. Chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Standard sights. CONDITION: Excellent plus. 98% original blue, including bolt handle and floorplate. Wood is excellent with a scuff on the stock at the butt. Bore is bright. Action is tight and crisp. Overall a high condition Pre-64 Model 70. -MKS-
