Manufactured 1840 through 1860 period. Belgian proofed on each chamber and bolster and marked on front of pistol grip "MARIETTE BREVETE". Six barrel cluster, barrels decorated with vivid Damascus engraving and each numbered '1' through '6' on barrels and breeches. Barrels are removable. Engraved double action with bar hammer and ring trigger. Frame, sideplates, trigger guard and trigger are engraved in European scrolls and vine and case colored finished. Plain, uncheckered ebony grips with small escutcheon and engraved retaining screw. CONDITION: Very fine with over 75% of the fading case colors remaining. Damascus pattern on barrels is very vivid and attractive. Action operates smoothly and properly. Grips are very good with no cracks or material loss. TDW
