Produced in the 1840's and finished in rich case colors. Stocked with finely checkered walut bag grips. Engraved with tight scrolls on breeches, hammers, side plates and trigger guard. Percussion ignition with half cock safeties and double triggers. 4" barrels with spring activated triangular bayonet measuring 5 inches at axis. .50 caliber smooth bores with bridles ramrod under barrels. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with most all vivid case colors remaining and having most all original lacquer in place. Action remains crisp and fully functioning. checkered bag grip is very fine with excellent checkering. The bores remain in near perfect condition. English proofs are found on bottom flats of both barrels. The superb condition of this bayoneted pistol could not be improved upon as it remains a time capsule of much earlier times. TDW
