Manufactured from 1840 through 1860 time frame. Double action, ring trigger with bar hammer action. Superimposed removable .45 caliber barrels fitted to a slender steel frame with ebony bag grip. Frame is ornately engraved in tight scrolls and trigger is engraved in vines. Barrels are vividly Damascus pattern finished. Smooth ebony grip without ornamentation. Top of frame is marked "MARIETTE BREVETE". CONDITION: Very good with frame remaining in the white. Grip is very fine with no chips, cracks, or material loss. Barrels are fine with vivid Damascus pattern. Action operates smoothly and properly. TDW
