Manufactured in the 1860's. Lefaucheux pattern folding knife pistol with unusual six shot 6mm pinfire revolver with 2 - 1/8" octagon barrel and folding 4" folding knife blade. Folding trigger operates the revolving cylinder and is aided by a side mounted ejector rod for expelling spent cartridges. The grip scales appear to be of early gutta percha material. Belgian proofs are found on the revolver and the knife ricasso. The blade is marked "BREVETE S.G.D.G." A very unique example as most all knife pistols are single shot and are percussion. Pistol is housed in a ebony case with blue satin partitions and fitted with oil bottle, turn screw, and wiping rod. CONDITION: Knife pistol is very fine with good markings and functions properly. The case has been relined at some earlier date. TDW
