Barrel proofed on bottom flat for 8.15x46 and 1925 manufacture date, Ulm proof, BUG proof. Right barrel flat with Martin Moritz engraved, left side with Chemnitz. Chemnitz is the third largest city in Saxony, while Martin Moritz was probably a previous owner. Tiny bead front sight with protective ears on machine matted ramp. Top flat also machine matted. Bottom flat with sling loop. Splinter forearm with "4317" pencil marked on interior, retained by single key. Case colored action with left side of breech block marked "ORIGINAL / SYST AYDT". Top of action with "AB" in oval, denoting Bruno Anschutz manufacture or customization. Orthoptic rear sight on tang. Ergonomic trigger guard with double set triggers. Removable trigger unit. Spliced in thumb rest with stippled face. Wave form checkering in two panels at wrist. Classic massive sculpted cheekpiece with fluted top. Sling swivel at toe. Buttplate with stabilizing prong. CONDITION: Very good to fine, retaining the vast majority of finish with some silvering to high edges of barrel and some old oxidation. Receiver case colors largely faded on forward section of receiver, but retaining considerably more towards rear. Sides of breech block in the white, top case colored. Rear sight possibly a replacement with newer case colors. Trigger guard exterior colors faded, interior with good color. Buttstock essentially dove grey with some light pitting at tip of prong. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, bore is excellent. EW
