Third Reich Sturmabteilung "Gruppe Franken" leader kepi made from a high quality brown tricot wool, which is undamaged, other than a three inch black stain on the rear. Yellow wool top has a couple of moth nips around the SA emblem. Two color brown twisted leader piping is hand applied, and slightly loose in some areas. SA eagle emblem retains all of its finish, appears to be original to the Kepi, with an extra hole is present above the eagle's head. Brown leather chinstrap, retained by two brown painted steel buttons, exhibits light wear with nickel plated steel fittings. Full brown leather sweatband is intact with only very light wear. Oil cloth head liner with unmarked sweat shield and brown cotton twill liner are intact and are excellent plus. CONDITION: Excellent plus. WZ
