Heer Cavalry officer visor cap made in a Feldgrau wool with approximately 15 small moth nips and spots of tracking. A dark green wool center band with very light damage, and the golden yellow piping has the lower piping in a slightly different color. The Heer Tombak eagle, wreath, and cockade are originally applied with patina. The Heer "5th Cavalry" style skull added to the front is a reproduction. Silver bullion chin cord has patina. The black vulkanfibre visor and tan crosshatch pattern underside have light wear. The interior is fully lined in a tan rayon with moderate to heavy staining. The celluoid sweatshield is present with the maker mark of "Luhus". The brown leather sweatband is dry with moderate to heavy staining. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. WZ
