The steel blade of this NSFK dagger is maker marked for the firm of F.A. Helbig. The blade exhibits most of the factory cross graining along its length. A few scattered light marks can be observed on the blade, but for the most part it is very clean. The aluminum cross guard exhibits very little patina, and the black painted swastika shows no damage. The aluminum pommel cap has a few small nicks to the edges. The blue textured aluminum grip exhibits very light wear, most of which is on the center high relief areas. The scabbard is also blue textured aluminum, with bare aluminum fittings. Light wear can be seen on the blue textured area. The fittings have scattered light marks and a very light patina. An originally attached correct leather hanger is attached to the scabbard. The leather has become very stiff over time, and the leather has small tears on the reverse near the connecting plates.
