The P.D. Luneschloss marked nickel plated blade is bright with only a few areas of light freckling near the guard. The brass based cross guard and pommel nut have lost nearly all of their original gilding, and have developed an even patina throughout. The double twist, brass wire wrapped, trylon grip is a nice pumpkin orange color which has developed a light patina. A small hairline crack can be seen on the upper reverse of the grip. An original portepee, which appears originally tied to the grip, has developed an even golden patina. The brass hammered scabbard has lost all of it's original gilding, and has developed a nice even dark patina throughout. A small dent can be observed on the reverse of the scabbard.
