Model 1863 3 band Musket, Type I. Lockplate and barrel both marked "1863". 40" round barrel finished "bright". Chambered in .58 caliber percussion. Complete with correct "tulip head" ramrod and bayonet. CONDITION: Very good overall. Top barrel tang is broken and has a replacement screw. Overall metal is a clean grey/brown patina. Wood shows moderate to heavy use with scattered dents and gouges. Inspector cartouches are visible on left side of stock. Hammer screw is missing. -MKS-
