Bedford County full curly maple stocked percussion Kentucky style rifle with Bedford County style "rat tail " lock signed in script "WD" for William Defibaugh of Monroe Township circa 1850. Beautifully made "high spur" Bedford County hammer. Stock has brass hardware including an engraved 4 piece patchbox with 4 petal daisy finial. Full octagon rifled barrel with rifle sights. CONDITION: Gun is in as found condition with several parts being period replaced but not quite fitting properly. Gun has heavy use marks. Dark bore with triggers not quite releasing properly. Untouched gun. DLM
