(A) US Model 1860 Navy Cutlass with unmarked blade, brass cup hilt and leather grip. Leather scabbard displays copper rivets running down its length. CONDITION: Blade is mostly grey with areas of minor dark staining, brass fittings display a deep dark patina, leather grip very good with minor surface wear. Scabbard very good and area of weakness near the tip, but with a mostly smooth surface. (B) French Model 1831 Foot Artillery Sword. Marked at the ricasso from the Chatellerault Arsenal, reverse dated 1845, brass ringed grip. Leather scabbard with brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade is grey with areas of dark staining, brass hilt very good with minor wear. Leather scabbard shows losses at the tip and a split seam. DG
