Lot consists of 3 swords with scabbards. (A) Reproduction Ames light cavalry saber with 1862 date, inspector marks, and scabbard. CONDITION: Excellent. (B) Original 1863 dated 1840 pattern light artillery saber with scabbard. Ames Mfg. Co. / Chicopee / Mass. and US / ADK / 1863 maker and inspector stamps at ricasso. ADK inspector mark on guard. Rack number 66 (or 99) on guard. CONDITION: Excellent. Just slight wear to the leather grip. Wire in place. Blade is bright. Markings clear. Scabbard original also, but with plating. (C) Original Ames 1864 dated 1840 pattern sergeant or NCO sword with scabbard. Ames scroll and US / ADK / 1864 marks ight but legible. JH inspector mark on knucklebow. CONDITION: Good. Blade gray, but with legible markings. Scabbard fair. Two crudely mended breaks with tape and leather. SR
