Lot consists of: (A) Eli Whitney Pocket 4th Model, serial number 14995 .31 caliber percussion, 5-shot cylinder, 6" octagon barrel, 2-piece walnut grips. Complete with period black military style flap holster. CONDITION: Good overall. No original finish. Frame appears to have been media blasted. Overall a brown-grey patina. Bore is dark with decent rifling. Action is weak, operates properly. Grips near excellent with a chip at each toe. (B) Colt Model 1849 Pocket. .31 caliber percussion, 4" barrel. Matching serial numbers 115810. Made in 1856. 1-piece walnut grips. Complete with black military style flap holster. CONDITION: Very good. No original finish. Overall a light gun metal grey patina. Grips are excellent showing modest wear. Faint cylinder scene. Bore tuning dark with good rifling. Action does not rotate cylinder. -MKS-
