Lot consists of: A) Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt action magazine rifle with blued barrel and receiver. Redfield receiver sight with band front sight. Custom walnut stock with rosewood forend tip. B) Mauser style bolt action rifle built by and marked on barrel flat" Franz Kettner Koln/Suhl" Blued fluted to round barrel with matted rib. Rear flip sight with ramp front. Blued engraved receiver with German style claw mounts. Rings engraved with "Edelweiss" flower. Lyman "Alaskan" scope with post reticle. Walnut wood stock with round knob checkered pistol grip and cheekpiece. Horn buttplate, blued engraved trigger guard and double set triggers. Comes with leather sling. CONDITION: A) Totally refinished and sporterized from original military configuration. Blue has some surface rusting in corners. Bore is good with poor mechanics. Bolt does not cock. Should be examined by competent gunsmith. B) Great rifle with some light pitting. Wood worn with scratches and dings. Good bore, mechanics and clear scope. DLM
