(A) Bow case and quiver is 53" long including fringe and 36" wide including strap. Circa 1870. Classic Southern Plains bow case and quiver made of Native tanned hide. Bead work comprised of black, white, blue, and yellow. Sinew sewn in pleasing, eye-catching rosettes and chevrons. Bow case, quiver, strap, and fringe are also embellished with red/orange earth tone ochre. The bow case and quiver tops are cut and styled with a serrated edging, lending additional eye appeal and style. The hide is soft and supple throughout. CONDITION: Fair. There are several breaks or holes in the hide throughout, some of which have been period repairs. Beaded rosettes and chevrons are mostly intact, some areas have minimal loss of bead work. This is a fantastic early piece. (B) Bow is 44-1/2" long and 1-1/16" wide. Most likely original to the case. They don't get much better than this. The bow is sinew wrapped and sinew backed. Sinew being painted again with the red/orange ochre and or earth tone colors. This bow also has blue ochre paint on the back side that has faded with time and/or was painted over. The original sinew bow string is intact. CONDITION: Excellent. (C) Set of two arrows 24"+ to 25-3/4" long. Arrows retain steel tips held on by sinew. Both have blood grooves and remnants of paint, no fletching.

Item Dimensions: Larger: 53" x 36".
