Lot consists of: (A) E.P. Bond of London manufactured Pattern 1853 Enfield imported for use on both sides in the American Civil War. Musket barrel with adjustable rear sight and fixed front. "E.P. Bond London" marked percussion lock. Walnut musket stock with original brass hardware. Original steel rod. CONDITION: Overall poor with pitting. Stock has been sanded with finish added. Wood repair near toe. Good mechanics with dark bore. (B) Tower 1862 dated percussion locked Pattern 1853 Enfield with walnut stock, brass hardware and iron barrel bands. Fixed rear sight and front sight. Owner's initial carved in stock. CONDITION: Well used appearance with missing middle barrel band and ramrod. Missing sling swivels. Good mechanics with dark bore full of grease. A chance to own a piece of Civil War history used by both sides. DLM
